ORLANDO — A married couple is suing Orlando Leased Housing Associates I and Dominium Management Services LLC, property managers, for alleged negligence.
Terrance and Jeanette Stafford filed a complaint on June 20 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to provide a safe environment for their business invitees.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 17, 2016, Terrance Stafford was visiting his aunt, who is a tenant of the defendants, when the concrete step of the stairway broke, causing him to lose his balance. He allegedly injured his right knee and suffered damages.
The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to warn invitees of the unsafe conditions and for failing to maintain and remedy the stairway and other fixtures on the property.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants for damages plus the costs of the suit and further relief the court may deem proper. They are represented by David H. Charlip of Charlip Law Group LC in North Miami.
