FORT LAUDERDALE — An invitee is suing Robert Feliciano, tenant, and Francis Demanuel, property owner, citing alleged negligence.
Patrick Michael filed a complaint on June 8 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to provide a safe environment for their business invitees.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was asked by Feliciano on Oct. 25, 2013 to assist in the repair of a property he rents from Demanuel. As a result of the alleged negligence of Feliciano in removing a guard from a grinder, the plaintiff reportedly was struck by a blade in the face and suffered injuries, disability, disfigurement and mental anguish.
The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly creating a dangerous condition and failing to correct a dangerous condition or warn plaintiff of the risk of injury.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages in excess of $15,000, plus costs and interest. He is represented by Alexander R. Hunt of Goldman & Daszkal PA in Deerfield Beach.
