ORLANDO – A Pennsylvania couple alleges that an Orlando hotel's negligence caused the husband to sustain back injuries.

Michelle and John Persini Jr. filed a complaint on June 19 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against BRE SH Orlando Owner LLC, doing business as Hilton Garden Inn Orlando at Sea World; Sage BSHH Manager LLC; Sage Hospitality Resources LLC, doing  business as Hilton Garden Inn Orlando at Sea World; and Sea Chrome Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs made a reservation for an Americans with Disabilities Act compliant room for their disabled son with Hilton Garden Inn Orlando at Sea World. They allege that upon arrival for check in, they were assigned a room that did not have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. The suit states the plaintiffs requested a portable tub seat for the bath tub and that John Persini Jr. was injured while assisting his son.

The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide an accessible room or an equivalent accessible accommodation at the hotel or another if unavailable and provided an inadequate and/or defective portable tub seat.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants for damages, costs, interest and other relief the court deems just. They are represented by Belvin Perry Jr. of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
