ORLANDO – A Georgia man alleges that he was injured in a fall at Magic Kingdom.

Lawrence Roberts filed a complaint on June 16 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 1, 2013, he was on the premises of defendant's park when he slipped upon a wet, wooden surface and slid onto an asphalt surface. He alleges the fall caused him bodily injuries, pain and suffering, disfigurement, inconvenience, and medical and rehabilitative expenses.

The plaintiff holds Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect and maintain the property to ensure a safe and hazard-free environment and failed to use warning signs or caution cones to warn invitees.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000, plus costs and further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Willie E. Gary and Victor G. Swift of Gary, Williams, Parenti Watson & Gary PL in Stuart.
