Florida Peninsula Insurance Co. alleged to have undervalued property damages

Contract 06

ORLANDO – The owners of an Orlando property claim their insurer undervalued the amount of damages to their property.

Pedro Tejada and Vilma Vega Saavedra filed a complaint on June 16 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Florida Peninsula Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on June 28, 2016, their property sustained a covered loss due to water damage. They allege the defendant inspected the property and accepted coverage, but undervalued the damages.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant for damages, prejudgment interest, attorney’s fees, costs and any other relief the court deems fair. They are represented by Harold Levy of HL Law Group PA in Fort Lauderdale.
