Couple claims Security First Insurance did not adequately indemnify them for property loss

Insurance 11

ORLANDO – An Orlando couple alleges that their insurer failed to tender an appropriate amount to cover damage to their property.

Francisco Gomez and Rosina Gomez filed a complaint on June 15 in the Orange Circuit Court against Security First Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 8, 2016, their insured property sustained a covered loss. The suit states that the defendant assigned a claim number and inspected the property, but failed to adequately indemnify plaintiffs for the loss.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant for damages, plus interest, court costs and attorneys’ fees. They are represented by Louis A. Gonzalez and Zaf Glenn Goss of Trujillo Vargas Gonzalez & Hevia LLP in Orlando.
