Medical malpractice 01

ORLANDO – A Miami-Dade County man alleges that he was electrocuted while pressure washing a Kissimmee business.

Lazaro Alonso filed a complaint on June 15 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Burke Contracting Group LLC and Value Financial Services Inc., doing business as Value Pawn alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 16, 2014, he was working for Burke, who was hired by Value Pawn to maintain its premises, when he was electrocuted by nearby powerlines while washing the roof of Value Pawn during the normal course of his duties.

The plaintiff holds Burke Contracting Group LLC, Value Financial Services Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to adequately and properly train its agents and failed to render aid following incident.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for damages of more than $15,000, plus costs. He is represented by Patrick W. Lawlor of Lawlor & Associates in Boca Raton.
