Tower Hill Select Insurance alleged to have failed to pay or underpaid couple's claim

Insurance 02

ORLANDO – Two individuals allege that their insurer breached their insurance policy by failing to pay or underpaying for construction services they needed to repair their property.

Pierre and Elsy Michaud filed a complaint on June 14 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Tower Hill Select Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Aug. 22, 2016, their Ocoee property was damaged by a peril it was insured against. They allege they submitted bills for the roofing and construction services to the defendant but that the defendant has not paid or unpaid for these services.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant for all unpaid and overdue insurance benefits with interest, costs, attorney's fees and for all other remedies the court sees fit to grant. They are represented by Francisco E. Serrano of Cohen Grossman Attorneys At Law in Maitland.
