Bonefish Grill patron alleges slippery substance caused fall at Petersburg location

Slip01

CLEARWATER – The owner of a Petersburg restaurant is facing a suit from a customer who alleges she was injured in a fall.

Joanne Lewis filed a complaint on June 16 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida - Pinellas County against Bonefish Grill LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 10, 2016, she was a patron on defendant's premises when she slipped and fell on a slippery substance on the floor. She alleges she sustained injuries resulting in pain and suffering, disability, loss of capacity to enjoy life and hospitalization and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Bonefish Grill LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition and failed to warn the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages suffered, costs, prejudgment interest and all issues triable by jury. She is represented by Daniella Rivera and Brad Salter of Salter, Healy LLC in St. Petersburg.
