Motorist seeks damages for alleged injuries sustained in Pinellas County crash

CLEARWATER – A motorist alleges she was injured in a collision with an underinsured drive in Pinellas County and is seeking damages from her insurer.

Lacrecia M. Wright filed a complaint on June 15 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida - Pinellas County against Geico General Insurance Co. alleging that the licensed insurer failed to enforce the terms and conditions of the policy.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 3, 2016, she sustained bodily injuries in a vehicle accident that was caused by the negligence of an underinsured motorist. She alleges the driver failed to carry sufficient bodily injury insurance to compensate her.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for damages against defendant and costs of this action. She is represented by Jessica E. Shahady of The Ruth Law Team in St. Petersburg.
