FORT LAUDERDALE – A man alleges he was injured at a Broward County property because of a metal pipe.

Fernando Gutierrez filed a complaint on June 7 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against The Hollywood Beach Resort Condominium Association Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 15, 2016, while plaintiff was on defendant's property, he tripped over a metal pipe protruding out of the ground and fell. He alleges that he fell onto rocks and gravel and sustained injuries.

The plaintiff holds The Hollywood Beach Resort Condominium Association Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep its premises and grounds free of any hazards, failed to correct the dangerous condition, and failed to warn plaintiff of the tripping hazards.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages, compensatory damages, costs, and other relief the court deems just. He is represented by Brian D. Glatzer of Berstein and Maryanoff in Miami.
