Coronado Springs Resort guest alleges slippery walkway caused fall

Slip01

ORLANDO – A North Carolina woman visiting Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is seeking $15,000 in damages after she was injured in a fall.

Donna Brickhouse filed a complaint on June 13 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 16, 2013, she was upon defendant's premises and was walking from the bus stop to her room when she slipped and fell on a wet and slippery walkway. She alleges that she suffered bodily injury as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn plaintiff about the existing dangers of the premises and failed to correct the condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for compensatory damages, together with costs, interest and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by William J. Tonelli of Dellecker Wilson King McKenna Ruffier & Sos LLP in Orlando.
