ORLANDO – An Ocoee woman alleges that an exposed cable wire negligently left in her yard caused her to fall.

Tina Morgan filed a complaint on June 9 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against AT&T Services Inc. and John Doe alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff hired the defendants to install DirecTV in her home in May 2016. She alleges that instead of burying the cable wire, the defendants left it in the yard, which caused her to trip and fall on June 1, 2016.

The plaintiff holds AT&T Services Inc. and John Doe responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly install the cable wires and failed to warn plaintiff of the dangerous condition of the cable wires.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages of more than $15,000, plus interest and costs. She is represented by Chad S. Lucas of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
