ORLANDO – The owner of a Winter Park property alleges a tenant has not paid rent since June.
Aloma Shopping Center Inc. filed a complaint on June 9 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Coast Dental Services LLC alleging breach of lease agreement.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 9, 1998, Aloma Shopping Center Inc. entered into a lease agreement with the defendant for the use of a non-residential real property owned by the plaintiff in exchange for monthly rent. However, the plaintiff alleges it was subjected to economic damages from defendant's failure to pay the required rent, common area maintenance, sales tax and late charges.
The plaintiff holds Coast Dental Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to fulfill its obligations under the loan contract.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages including accrued rent, accelerated rent, interest, common area maintenance, sales tax, late fees, attorney's fees and costs. It is represented by Mya M. Hatchette and Brandon S. DeGel of Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman PA in Winter Park.
