ORLANDO – A Seminole County man alleges he was injured at an Orlando golf course because of a hidden tree stump.

Richard Thomas filed a complaint on June 8 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Celebration Golf Co. LLC, doing business as Rio Pinar Golf Club, and Manager Name Unknown alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 6, 2014, he was injured in or about his body and extremities as a result of driving a golf cart over an unseen tree stump within the premises of defendant's property, causing his knees to strike the golf cart's cup holder.

The plaintiff holds Celebration Golf Co. LLC and Manager Name Unknown responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn plaintiff of the dangerous condition and failed to maintain the premises in a safe manner.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for compensatory damages of more than $15,000, plus interest and costs. He is represented by Gary Boynton of The Law Office of Gary Boynton in Winter Park.
