ABC Liquors Inc. patron alleges wet paint caused fall

Slip02

ORLANDO – An Orange County man alleges he was injured in a liquor store because of wet paint.

Eddie Jones filed a complaint on June 8 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against ABC Liquors Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 30, 2014, he was on the premises of defendant's store to make a purchase when he slipped on a yellow paint on his way out, which caused him to slip and fall onto his left leg and sustained injury.

The plaintiff holds ABC Liquors Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to put up warning signs to alert plaintiff of the hazards and failed to correct the dangerous condition of the area.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendants, together with costs, interest, and other relief deemed just by the court. He is represented by Craig R. Lynd and Jeffrey S. Kaufman of Kaufman & Lynd PLLC in Orlando.
