Property owners accuse Omega Insurance Co. of breaching contract

Insurance 01

ORLANDO – Two owners of an Orlando property claim that their insurer wrongfully denied coverage of a loss.

Eric and Doris Ramirez filed a complaint on June 7 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Omega Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 7, 2016, they discovered damage to their insured home as a result of a sudden and accidental wind storm. They allege that despite demand for payment, defendant has failed and refused to pay benefits necessary to repair plaintiff's property.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment in their favor for full amount of damages, interest, attorney's, costs and other relief the court deems appropriate. They are represented by Hans Kennon of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
