Citizens Property Insurance Corp. alleged to have undervalued property damages

FORT LAUDERDALE – The owners of a Fort Lauderdale property allege their insurer undervalued damages.

Sergio and Kristi Nascimbeni filed a complaint on June 2 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Citizens Property Insurance Corp. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 9, 2016, their property was damaged by water. They allege the defendant grossly undervalued the extent of the damages.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant for all damages, attorneys' fees, costs, and other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Harold Levy of HL Law Group PA in Fort Lauderdale.
