CLEARWATER – A patron at a Clearwater sports bar alleges that an unstable high-top table caused her to fall.

Sharon A. Clark filed a complaint on May 25 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida - Pinellas County against Jay'N'Zee LLC, doing business as Mugs@ICOT, alleging that the sports bar operator breached its duty to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 21, 2015, she was an invitee at defendant's Mugs Sport Bar and Grill when the high-top table gave way and flipped over, causing her to fall to the floor. The plaintiff alleges she sustained serious and permanent injuries resulting in physical pain, disability, diminished capacity to enjoy life and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Jay'N'Zee LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct the dangerous condition and/or to warn its customers of the existence of such condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $15,000, plus costs for the suit and all issues triable by jury. She is represented by Timothy M. Ingram of Ingram Injury Law PA in Clearwater.
