ORLANDO – A customer at a burger restaurant in Orlando alleges he was injured because of a slippery substance on the floor.
Jerry Mills filed a complaint on June 2 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Bengel's Burgers II LLC, doing business as Five Guys Burgers and Fries, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 18, 2015, he was on defendant’s premises as a customer when he slipped and fell from a greasy substance on the floor and sustained injuries and damages.
The plaintiff holds Bengel's Burgers II LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly maintain the area by allowing the dangerous condition on the floor, failed to warn plaintiff of the dangerous condition and failed to provide a safe and dry means of ingress and egress.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, for damages and demands judgment of more than $15,000 plus interest and costs. He is represented by Michael A. Mandeville of Law Offices of Michael V. Barszcz MD JD in Winter Park.
