ORLANDO – A Save-A-Lot patron alleges a liquid substance on the floor caused a fall and injuries.
Milagros Bengochea Valencia filed a complaint on May 31 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Supervalu Stores Inc. and Moran Foods LLC, doing business as Save-A-Lot alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 22, 2015, the plaintiff was seriously and severely injured when the plaintiff slipped and fell on a liquid substance on the floor while visiting the premises of the grocery store owned and operated by the defendants in Orlando.
The plaintiff holds Supervalu Stores Inc. and Moran Foods LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly created a hazardous condition by allowing a liquid substance to remain on the floor of its property and failed to detect and remove the dangerous condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for damages in an amount of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest and costs. The plaintiff is represented by Tiffany M. Fanelli of Kanner & Pintaluga PA in Boca Raton.
