FORT LAUDERDALE – Two owners of a Coral Springs property are seeking a declaratory judgment to determine insurance coverage.
Marie Ciceron and Raphael Luxama filed a complaint on May 23 in the Broward Circuit Court against Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Co. seeking declaratory relief.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Aug.18, 2016, their property was damaged by the accidental discharge of water from a plumbing system. The suit states the defendant denied coverage of the claim.
The plaintiffs are seeking for the court's judgment regarding to their rights to coverage for the loss and adjustment of the claim under the terms of the policy.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek declaratory judgment against defendant, declaratory relief, adjustment of covered claim, attorney's fees and court costs. They are represented by Kenneth R. Duboff of Duboff Law Firm in North Miami.
