Law money 07

ORLANDO – A Longwood man alleges he was not paid overtime while employed by a food truck fabrication business in Orlando.

Stephen Orban filed a complaint on May 25 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Cool Blue Water LLC, doing business as Cool Blue H2O, and Cool Blue Business Center citing the Florida Minimum Wage Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked for the defendants from January to May 2016 as a fabricator. The plaintiff holds Cool Blue Water LLC and Cool Blue Business Center responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff any wages for overtime work and improperly classified plaintiff as an independent contractor to avoid paying for overtime wages.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in his favor, liquidated damages, unpaid wages, interest, attorneys’ fees, costs and disbursements and further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Kevin E. Vorhis of Cohen Grossman, Attorneys at Law in Maitland.
