CLEARWATER – A shopper at a Clearwater clothing retailer alleges that she was injured because of a dangerous condition at the store's exterior.

Emma Blackshear filed a complaint on May 22 in 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas County against Charming Charlie LLC and Countryside Mall LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 2 she fell at the exterior of the premises operated by Charming Charlie and owned by Countryside Mall. The plaintiff holds Charming Charlie LLC and Countryside Mall LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn Blackshear of the unsafe condition on the exterior premises and failed to provide a safe environment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants, jointly and severally, in an amount of more than $15,000, with interest, costs and all issues triable by jury. She is represented by Frank J. Currie of Teresa P. Williams PA in Clearwater.
