Driver allegedly injured in Clearwater crash seeks damages from motorist, insurer

CLEARWATER – A woman is suing a driver and her insurer for damages after a collision in Clearwater.

Jacqueline Jeffries filed a complaint on May 17 in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas County against Joseph F. Luscz and National Interstate Insurance Co. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 23, 2014, plaintiff suffered injuries caused by the negligence of an underinsured/uninsured motorist, defendant Luscz, on Gulf Boulevard in Clearwater. The suit states that the plaintiff was insured by National, but that it disputes coverage under the policy.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against each defendant in an amount of more than $15,000, plus costs of this action and such other just and proper relief. She is represented by Paul R. Carvonis and Joseph M. Murphy of DeLoach, Hofstra & Cavonis PA in Seminole.
