ORLANDO – An Orange County woman alleges that she was injured because of an exposed water meter valve.

Doris Priscilla Roman filed a complaint on May 24 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Orlando Utilities Commission and the city of Orlando alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 26, 2016, she was walking along the 700 block of Magnolia Avenue in Orlando when she suffered a fall when her foot became stuck inside an exposed water meter valve.

The plaintiff holds Orlando Utilities Commission and the city of Orlando responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn invitees of the dangerous condition and failed to repair and or maintain said area.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendant, together with costs, interest and other such relief deemed proper by the court. She is represented by Aaron Scicchitano of McBride, Scicchitano & Leacox PA in Orlando.
