FORT LAUDERDALE – Two Hollywood property owners are seeking declaratory relief regarding the terms of their insurance policy.

David and Sara Meir filed a complaint on May 19 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Citizens Property Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 26, 2016, their insured Hollywood property sustained a covered loss. They allege that the defendant has partially denied their claim and seek declaratory relief.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek declaratory judgment in favor of plaintiffs, plus interest, attorneys' fees and costs, and further relief deemed just. They are represented by Alex Stern of Litigation & Recovery Law Center PL in North Miami Beach.
