ORLANDO – A California man alleges he was injured at Walt Disney resort due to a wet floor.

Jorge Estrada Nevarez filed a complaint on May 18 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 6, 2016, he was directed into a guest bathroom by an employee of the defendant at the All-Star Movie Resort and slipped and fell on the wet tile floor. He alleges that as a result of the incident, he has ongoing pain in his left hip, left knee and endures leg pain.

The plaintiff holds Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the area in a reasonably safe manner, failed to fixate barriers on the floor to prevent water leak and failed to provide warning signs to alert business invitees.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendant together with interest, costs and further relief as the court deems proper. He is represented by Jason J. Recksiedler of Nejame Law PA in Orlando.
