Driver seeks more than $15,000 for alleged collision damages from Broward County crash

FORT LAUDERDALE – A woman is suing for damages she alleges she sustained as a result of an auto accident in Broward County.

Janis Marriott filed a complaint on May 12 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Ingrid E. Tower and George A. Lalinde alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Sep. 1, 2015, Lalinde collided with the plaintiff's vehicle near West Broward Boulevard and SW 24th Avenue in Broward County. The suit states he was driving a vehicle owned by Tower.

The plaintiff alleges she suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, aggravation of a pre-existing condition, mental anguish and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for damages that exceed $15,000. She is represented by Elizabeth W. Finizio of Finizio & Finizio PA in Fort Lauderdale.
