Man claims Progressive American Insurance failed to provide motorist insurance coverage

Insurance 07

CLEARWATER – A man injured in a Tarpon Springs collision has filed a suit against his insurance company seeking uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.

Andrew Hatzitheodorou filed a complaint on May 16 in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas County against Progressive American Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 21, 2015, the plaintiff's vehicle was struck by another driver at Pinellas Avenue North near the intersection of Dodecanese Boulevard. The suit states the driver was underinsured/uninsured and that the plaintiff suffered injuries.

The plaintiff holds Progressive American Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay plaintiff his uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage claim.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages of more than $15,000, excluding fees and costs, and other relief to which the court deems proper. He is represented by George C. Andriotis of Andriotis Law Firm, PA in Tarpon Springs.
