CLEARWATER – A woman alleges her insurer failed to pay compensation for damages she received in an auto accident.
Barbara S. Compton filed a complaint on May 16 in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas County against State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. alleging that the defendant violated the agreed contract under uninsured/underinsured policy.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 4, 2016, while traveling westbound on East Bay Drive, plaintiff was struck in the rear of another motorist, Jocelyn V. Delio, in Largo. As a result, Compton claims she suffered severe physical injuries, incurred medical expenses and loss of wages and filed for uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage from the defendants.
The plaintiff holds State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to provide plaintiff with compensation for damages proximately caused by accident, pursuant to its policy of automobile insurance.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of costs and interest, and all issues triable as of right by jury. She is represented by Timothy M. Ingram of Ingram Injury Law PA in Clearwater.
