ORLANDO – A tenant at an Orlando rental housing partnership alleges that inadequate maintenance to a set of stairs caused a fall.

Terry Eckhart filed a complaint on May 15 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Total Equity Development LP, doing business as College Mobile Home Park, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 17, 2015, he was walking upon a staircase that provided ingress and egress to the property owned by the defendant when he slipped and fell as the stair steps collapsed underneath him.

The plaintiff holds Total Equity Development LP, doing business as College Mobile Home Park, responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate maintenance.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant; actual, consequential and all other damages, costs; and other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Joe M. Mitchell III of The Mitchell Law Firm PA in Indialantic.
