Slip01

ORLANDO – An Orange county resident claims she was injured because of water on the floor of an Apopka store.

Sharon Rueben filed a complaint on May 11 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Dollar Tree Stores Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 24, 2013, while she was walking through defendant's Apopka premises, she slipped and fell due to the existence of water on the floor. As a result, plaintiff allegedly was injured in and about her body and extremities, aggravated a pre-existing condition, suffered pain, physical handicap, mental pain and suffering, loss of income and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Dollar Tree Stores Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately maintain/inspect the premises, failed to warn plaintiff of the dangerous condition and failed to timely correct a dangerous condition.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in an amount of more than $15,000 plus costs. She is represented by Jason R. Manocchio of Law Offices of Robert J. Fenstersheib & Associates PA in Hallandale Beach.
