Homeowner seeks coverage of water damage from Stillwater Property and Casualty Insurance Co.

Insurance 01

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Fort Lauderdale homeowner alleges her insurer hasn't made any action on her claim.

Martha Bouza filed a complaint for damages on May 4 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Stillwater Property and Casualty Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 15, 2016, her property sustained a covered loss for water damage due to broken and/or leaking pipes. However, despite efforts of plaintiff to comply with all post-loss obligations, the defendant allegedly has yet to pay or deny the claim.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant for damages, interest, attorney's fees, costs, and other relief that the court deems just. She is represented by Thomas J. Morgan Jr. of Morgan Law Group PA in Coral Gables.
