FORT LAUDERDALE – A Broward County woman alleges she was injured when the car she was traveling in was rear-ended.
Andrea Nicole True filed a complaint on May 4 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Touba Darmanko Trucking LLC, Sakeena Trucking LLC and Lewis Devaughn alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 15, 2016, she was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at the Cypress Creek toll plaza when the Devaughn, driving a Freightliner commercial truck owned by the defendants, rear-ended the vehicle. She alleges she was injured in and about her body and extremities, suffered pain, mental anguish, disability, shame, humiliation, incurred medical expenses and inability to lead a normal life.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for damages and costs of action. She is represented by Nicholas I. Gerson of Gerson & Schwartz PA in Miami.
