Woman seeks coverage from Allstate for damages allegedly sustained in a collision

FORT LAUDERDALE – A woman is seeking insurance coverage from her insurer for damages from a collision in Fort Lauderdale.

Dorlean Ledger filed a complaint on May 4 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Allstate Fire and Casualty Insurance Co. seeking underinsured motorist coverage.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 4, 2016, she was seriously and severely injured and sustained damages as a result of the negligence of an underinsured motorist in Fort Lauderdale. She alleges she made a claim for underinsured/uninsured coverage with the defendant and that it refused.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for compensatory damages of more than $15,000, plus interest and costs. She is represented by Richard J. Dolan II and Carlos A. Velasquez of Velasquez Dolan Arias PA in Plantation.
