Homeowners allege M/I Homes of Orlando improperly installed stucco

Contract 09

ORLANDO – The owners of an Orlando property alleges that the stucco on the home was improperly installed.

Omar and Kristina Pulido Almodovar filed a complaint on May 8 in 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against M/I Homes of Orlando LLC alleging breach of contract and negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they hired the defendant to build them a home. They allege they have suffered damages as a result of the wrongful conduct of the defendant in the improper design and construction of plaintiffs' home, mostly on the improper installation of the stucco system, which caused defects and deficiencies.

The plaintiffs hold M/I Homes of Orlando LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to construct the home in accordance with Florida Building Code and industry standard, and failed to adequately supervise, monitor and oversee the construction of the home.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant for damages, together with interest, costs and further relief as the court deems just. They are represented by M. Lee Reeder of Burnett Wilson Reeder in Tampa.
