Man alleges he was injured in collision near Camp Blanding

Car accident 08

JACKSONVILLE – An agent of the U.S. Army is alleged to have failed to yield and caused a collision near Camp Blanding.

Kenneth Lamar Lewallen and Carrol Fae Lewallen filed a complaint on April 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division against United States of America Department of the Army and Zachary Michael Larsen alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 27, 2015, Kenneth Lamar Lewallen collided with defendant Larsen's Army vehicle when defendant alleged attempt to pull out from Camp Blanding across the eastbound lanes of state Road 16 in order to turn west.

The plaintiffs hold United States of America Department of the Army and Larsen responsible because Larsen allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way to other traffic on the roadway, failed to pay full time and attention to the traffic and failed to maintain full control of the vehicle.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for damages and together with costs of the action. They are represented by Thomas E. Duffy of Terrell Hogan PA in Jacksonville.
