Man alleges business partner failed to pay deposit, make payments on cars

Contract 02

CLEARWATER – A Pinellas County resident is alleged to have failed to uphold an agreement for the operation of a restaurant.

Juan Luis Valles Renteria filed a complaint on April 28 in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas County against Maria Matos Infante and Rafa Granite LLC alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 18, 2016, he entered into a partners agreement with Infante to open and run a restaurant, wherein the agreement required an initial deposit of $5,000 and each party to be responsible for 50 percent of the total costs for the first year. However, Infante allegedly failed to fulfill her obligations under the agreement. The plaintiff also alleges the defendants failed to make payments on two vehicles.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants for monetary damages, together with accrued interest, court costs and further relief that the court deems just. He is represented by Patricia A. Candamo of Candamo Law PA in Tampa.
