Man alleges he was injured while riding motorcycle, files suit against deceased driver

CLEARWATER – A Largo man has filed a suit over alleged damages sustained in a collision against the estate of a deceased Oldsmar man.

Brian Joseph Woodruff filed a complaint on April 28 in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas County against the estate of Lon Harold Baughman, on behalf of Lon Harold Baughman, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 20, 2015, he sustained damages including bodily injuries, scarring, mental anguish, medical expenses and loss of use of motorcycle, when decedent carelessly operated his motor vehicle so that it struck the motorcycle driven by plaintiff. The suit states Baughman died in May 2016.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for a sum of more than $15,000, plus costs and interest on all liquidated damages. He is represented by Will Williams of Williams and Trayner in Tampa.
