Homeowner claims United Property & Casualty Insurance Co. failed to pay claim in full

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Fort Lauderdale homeowner alleges that her insurance failed to pay her claim in full.

Marie Cyprice filed a complaint on April 24 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against United Property & Casualty Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that her property, which is insured under a homeowner's insurance policy, sustained a covered loss for water damage. However, despite efforts of plaintiff to furnished timely notice of covered loss and has performed all obligations precedent to recover under the policy, the defendant allegedly has yet to pay either part or all of plaintiff's claim. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for all damages, attorney's fees, costs and other relief that the court deems proper. She is represented by Peter Mineo Jr. of The Mineo Salcedo Law Firm PA in Davie.
