CLEARWATER — Two property owners are suing Anchor Property & Casualty Insurance Company, citing alleged breach of insurance contract.

Dennis Jasik and Joan Jasik of Clearwater filed a complaint on April 25 in the Pinellas Circuit Court against Anchor Property & Casualty Insurance Company alleging that the insurer failed to perform its obligations under their contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that, on Jan. 2, 2017, they suffered loss of their property that resulted from a sudden discharge of water from a pipe in the bathroom. Plaintiffs timely reported the loss and claimed for damages. The plaintiffs hold the company responsible because it allegedly refused and continues to refuse to pay the full amount of the loss covered by the insurance policy.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek all damages allowable by law, plus interest, costs and fees for this action. They are represented by Warren P. Duffy and Jason A. Herman of Herman & Wells PA in Pinellas Park.
