ORLANDO – A Palm Coast resident alleges an elevator caused injuries at an Orlando hotel.
Bonnye Henry filed a complaint on April 18 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against LQ FL Properties LLC alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Sep. 5, 2015, the plaintiff was a guest at the defendant's La Quinta Inn & Suites in Orlando and sustained injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, medical expenses and aggravation of a pre-existing condition when the elevator door closed on plaintiff's hand.
The plaintiff holds LQ FL Properties LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn invitees of the dangerous condition of the elevator, failed to conduct inspection and maintenance of the subject elevator.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, for damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, attorney's fees and costs. The plaintiff is represented by Edward S. Rue of Rue & Ziffra in Port Orange.
