CLEARWATER – A man formerly employed as a chief information officer alleges he was not reimbursed for moving expenses as promised by his former employer.

Charles D. Hartwig filed a complaint on April 5 in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas County against Lincare Holdings Inc. alleging breach of contract and fraud in the inducement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in November 2015, he was recruited by the defendant and was promised a substantial relocation assistance package to move his family from New Jersey to Pinellas County. The plaintiff alleges that he was wrongfully terminated after five months of employment with the defendant and that the defendant has refused to reimburse him for the relocation costs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for all general, compensatory, consequential and special damages, plus costs, interest, attorneys' fees, and other damages. He is represented by Brent C.J. Britton, Lauren Orebaugh and Scott R. Lilly of de la Peña & Holiday LLP in Tampa.
