Slip02

ORLANDO – A guest at the Double Tree Universal Hotel in Orlando alleges she was injured in a fall on the premises.

Peggy Vermillion filed a complaint on March 21 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Interstate Hotels and Resorts Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 17, 2014, she was injured when she stepped on tile that was slick with rain water and fell. The plaintiff holds Interstate Hotels and Resorts Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed in its duty to have a reasonably safe mode of operation in the maintenance of its premises so as to avoid dangers to invitees who use their premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in an amount of more than $15,000, together with interest and costs. She is represented by Justin W. Pimenta of Abrahamson & Uiterwyk in Tampa.
