Royal Caribbean passenger files suit after slipping on liquid allegedly left on cafe floor

Cruise 09

MIAMI – A woman alleges she fractured her wrist after a fall on a Royal Caribbean ship.

Margaret Blanco filed a complaint on April 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 2, 2016, she was on vacation on the defendant's Adventure of the Seas ship and slipped and fell because of a liquid on the floor of a cafe. She alleges she suffered a severe left wrist fracture because of the incident. The plaintiff holds Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly maintain and keep the flooring in a reasonably safe condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award money damages to the plaintiff, interest, costs and attorney's fees, and any other and further relief the court deems just and proper. She is represented by Ira H. Leesfield and Adam T. Rose of Leesfield Scolaro PA in Miami.
