Advanced Recovery System alleged to have failed to pay overtime wages

Law money 13

ORLANDO – An Orange County man alleges a Winter Park addiction treatment center failed to pay for all hours worked.

Robert Powell filed a complaint on behalf of himself and on behalf of all others similarly situated on April 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Advanced Recovery System LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendant as a behavioral technician from December 2015 to February 2017. The plaintiff holds Advanced Recovery System LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to compensate plaintiffs for all hours worked, failed to compensate plaintiffs for their mandatory rest and meal break periods they did not take, failed to pay overtime at a rate of time-and-one-half, and failed to accurately record hours worked by plaintiffs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury, judgment against defendant for unpaid overtime wages, back wages, liquidated damages, interest, costs, attorney's fees and further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Donna V. Smith of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa PA in Tampa.
