Man alleges Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations wrongfully terminated him

Wrongful term 06

ORLANDO – An Orange County licensed concealed weapons holder alleges he was unlawfully terminated by his employer.

Wyatt Schreiber filed a complaint on March 20 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC citing the Preservation and Protection of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in Motor Vehicles Act of 2008.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is a licensed concealed carry weapons holder and regularly transported his firearm in his vehicle, which he would leave in his locked car while he was at work. The plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 16, 2016, he was wrongfully terminated by the defendant on grounds of "company policy" about carrying firearms.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000, attorney's fees, interest and costs. He is represented by Richard Celler of Richard Celler Legal PA in Davie.
