ORLANDO – A former bartender for an Orlando restaurant alleges she was not paid a minimum wage during her employment.

Amanda Goodrich filed a complaint on March 24 in the Orange County Circuit Court against Universal City Restaurant Venture LLC, doing business as Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, alleging violation of the Florida Minimum Wage Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was employed as bartender for the defendants from 2008 to January 2017. The plaintiff holds Universal City Restaurant Venture LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to compensate plaintiff the applicable state minimum wage for all hours worked and improperly utilized the tip credit.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant, award liquidated damages, interest, attorneys’ fees, costs, disbursements and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Robert W. Parsons of Cohen Grossman, Attorneys At Law in Maitland.
