Law money 03

TAMPA – A Port Richey man alleges his former Holiday employer failed to properly compensate him.

Dennis Wells filed a complaint on April 3 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against Armored Holdings Corp., doing business as Armored Roofing, and Keegan Manning alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Florida Minimum Wage Amendment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on August 2016, he was terminated in retaliation for having complained about unpaid minimum and overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Armored Holdings Corp. and Manning responsible because the defendants allegedly denied plaintiff of his right to receive proper overtime and minimum wages for every hour worked.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgement against defendants, wages found to be due and owing, liquidated damages, interest, attorneys' fees, court costs and other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Derek P. Usman of The Usman Law Firm PA in Tampa.
